** A Hard Freeze is going to take place over north Alabama and the Tennessee Valley area overnight as we dip into the teens for low temperatures. Please make sure you have a winter safety kit if traveling tonight, including an thick blanket, candle and empty soup can (for emergency heat), and by all means, a cellphone or communications device with backup battery. This is especially important if you have secondary health problems as the cold temperatures could quickly become a problem if stranded tonight. Brian Davis.
